The kids swam everyday!

When they weren't swimming they were playing in the game room and outside.

We went to see Shrek the 3rd. Not my favorite, but it was cute.

Memorial Weekend

The last four days have been tons of fun! We have had food, games, tents, fishing, rockets, family pictures and lots of family.

Lunch for the ladies.

Rockets for the men.

The kids played non-stop!

And the big kids were a great help watching the little ones when needed.

Lesson learned

So this is how stupid I feel today!
Most everyone knows that there are two things I stand firm on with kids... seat belts and sunscreen. Well, yesterday I was at school helping with the pentathlon and we were outside all day. I had two jackets if it was cold, an umbrella if it rained, a water bottle if I was thirsty, but did I even think once to put sunscreen on? NO! So here I sit burnt to a crisp!! Now I was covered from my neck to my feet, but my face especially my nose and my hands are burned.
Lesson learned!

Contest winner

The Bird Refuge had an art contest for the kids in the Elementary schools up here. Erin was one of the winners. This is a picture of her original drawing.

She was asked to redraw her bird on a much larger paper.

This is her and her friend with their finished drawings.

The Bird Refuge then put her picture in a banner and it is now hanging on Main Street.

She was pretty excited to win and be able to have her drawing hanging in town.
Congrats Erin!

Mothers Day

Mothers day morning I woke up to find Vadar wishing me a Happy Mothers day, breakfast in bed and a yummy ice cream cake. Thanks Rich for making the day the best!

I hope everyone had just as great of a Mothers Day as I did!

Happy Birthday Barbara

Today is Barbara's 70th Birthday! We are glad she is feeling better to celebrate with family!
Happy Birthday Grandma! Thanks for taking care of all of us.

17 Years

Today is our 17th Anniversary! How exciting to say we have been married for 17 years but that sure does age us.
