The new residence

We have the beginning of a roof and some of the rooms have walls. This is how it will stay for the next few days for the Holiday. Hoping for a roof soon so we don't have to shovel out anymore snow. That was NOT fun.

Harry Potter at midnight

Thursday we went to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows at midnight.

Ty, Seth, Lyss and Kenz before the show. I assure you Lyssa was excited to be there.

Diana, Katie, Andrea and her mom. Apparently my camera has a blinding flash hence the closed eyes. Katie, you still look great!

Apey, Kira and me.
The movie was great, but a little disappointing knowing we have to wait until summer to see the second half. Thanks everyone for coming, a midnight show would not be worth being sleep deprived without all of you and the nachos!!!

Driving permit

Lyssa has had some very busy weeks with her play practices and performances. But she still found time to study and get her learners permit. She is pretty excited to get behind the wheel of our car. I told her we would get serious about practicing as soon as she is done with the play. Good job Lyss on passing the test!

Peach days

The morning of peach days Andrea and I ran the 10k race. It was a pretty good course.

The girls watching the parade.

These little cuties were waiting for candy to come their way.

I had more pictures of those watching the parade and the guys driving Gary's truck and Ern's jeeps, but most of them came out blurry. That's what you get when a 15 year old or a tired, blind women taking the pictures. But we had a great time and after the parade we all headed over to Bear River to the Stacey family reunion.

Back to School

What a way to start the first day of school. Rain, rain, rain!
This was a hard year for me to send the girls. Lyssa started High School and Erin started her last year of Elementary School. I can't believe how fast time has gone! They both said they loved their classes and Lyssa gets the day off today.

Top of Utah half marathon

Saturday was the day Andrea and I have been training for. I can't believe I made it to the finish line. I would'nt have if Andrea wasn't right next to me keeping me going.

My computer is broken so I borrowed some pictures from Katie's blog. Probably a good thing, they weren't exactly pretty. Look at Andrea go!

Some of our support group that day!
We were so exhausted by the end but seeing everyone cheering us on helped me pick up the pace and even put a smile on my face. Thanks to everyone who came it meant a lot to see your smiling faces!

Swimming

This week has been tons of fun! Kira and Maci have been spending the week with us. We have visited the horses and cows numerous times, the girls spent a day at Andrea's playing (Thanks Andrea and Kenz) and yesterday my sister Leigh and I took them to the pool. I was very impressed with Erin and Kira, they played with Ruthie and Maci a lot of the time.

Eclipse

I completely forgot to post about Eclipse. Heather, Andrea, Katie, Kenz, Lyssa and I went to go see it a few weeks ago. This is my least favorite book so I was not sure what to think. I still am not sure what to think. I am not a big fan of the love triangle, but I did like the fight with the vampires. Not my favorite summer movie. And to make it even a better night, Katie lost her purse somewhere on Hwy 38. Anyone seen a cute little gray purse with flowers and a camera inside? Thank goodness her wallet was not inside!
Sorry Katie!!!

The sorcerer's apprentice

This summer is turning out to be a movie summer. Andrea and I took the kids to see The Sorcerer's Apprentice today. Erin and I both really liked it. I am not sure if Andrea liked it, she was busy keeping up with Bisa. She is my new hero!

How to celebrate Erin's bday (Tuesday)

Erin woke up on her birthday to find banana, chocolate chip, Star Wars pancakes awaiting her.

Erin in her birthday dress, light saber and all.

April, Kira and Maci met us at the theater to see Airbender in 3D. Then we headed over to Maddox for some yummy ice cream.

Kira came home with us. Here they are eating nachos while watching Alice and Wonderland that Apey gave her.

We always love it when Melanie is around to get out the fireworks.

I think she has had a great birthday!

How to celebrate Erin's bday (Sunday)

Erin picked a yummy ice cream cake from Cold Stone to eat on Sunday.

We let her open most of her presents that day. Among them my parents and Carla's parents gave her Star Wars cookie cutters and Star Wars pancake shapes.

We finally gave in and gave her that DS that she has been begging for.

Thanks Papa, Mums, Donna and Carl for the awesome presents!
