Owen Christmas party

Lys got some way cute stuff.
Especially from her mom.
She really went all out and made her this hat and gloves.

This year we decided to not trade names.
But Erin and Kira really wanted to give each other something.
Kira made Erin this awesome mug.
She made this in her pottery class, sounds like she really enjoys it.
Thanks Kira, Erin loved it!

Zeke gave Maci a cupcake puzzle. He wanted to tell her thanks because he wouldn't be in our family if it wasn't for Maci. She was with me to help pick him out.

Lys gave us a little sample of her singing. I can't figure out how to turn it and my memory card was full so I only got half of her singing. But it is beautiful just the same.

Christmas Day

Erin is so into Dr Who right now. So Lys gave her a Dr Who shirt.

Lys finally got her very own phone. As you can imagine she is thrilled.

This was my present to everyone. Dave helped me put this one together!
He made the frames and they are so amazing.
There are four in all.
Star Wars, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and Pirates.
Rich hung them on the wall and I love them!
Thanks so much Dave for all your hard work and time!

We left cookies and carrots for Santa.
On Christmas Eve, Erin got a special email from Santa. He was checking to see if she was on the nice or naughty list. When it showed her name it said she needed some work still to get on the nice list. Total accident by Lys, but funny. Erin was a little stunned so we had to write a note to Santa telling him she was working really hard and deserved to be on the nice list.

Rich got his well-earned Ipod touch.
And Rich gave me a Darth Vadar fat-head.

We enjoyed attending church that morning to feel the spirit and rememeber our saviors birth.
Christmas was so nice for us this year, especially in our new home.

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve, Rich was on call so we were not able to go very far.
In fact, he ended up getting call in and was gone for most of the day.
So we went up and visited with Scot and Diana and played a few games.

When we went back home the girls opened their pajamas.
This year they got matching Harry Potter ones.
(Katie, are you proud of me?)

Owen Winterfest

Every year my parents have a winter party to get together with family.
Usually sledding is involved, but there was just not enough snow.
We always have good food and of course a white elephant game.
This was my present. It was labeled red-neck wine glasses.

Thanks papa and mums for all your hard work. We had a great time!

Temple Square

Lys and her choir class had the opportunity to sing at Temple Square.

Papa and Mums joined us to hear Lys sing.

Lys did a great job as usual.

It is so beautiful there.

Every year we say we are going to go and we never do.
So I was glad Lys was singing to give us a chance to go down.

Christmas party

We had alot of fun white elephant gift.
Ruthie got this way cool toilet.

Sophie gave Erin this so cute hat for Christmas.
Katie really knows how to pick them.
It is a keeper.

Thanks to Diana for providing all the candy in the pinata.
Thanks to everyone else for coming and putting us with our craziness.
SO glad we have plenty of years before its our turn again.

Barbara picked booty pops for her white elephant gift.
We were laughing so hard!

This year we were in charge of the Stacey family party.
We decided to have a fiesta.
Lys took pics of all our families.
We had yummy Mexican food and a little entertainment while eating.
Thanks to those kids who sang and played the piano!
And of course a Pinata.

Winter wonderland

This is some pics I took of the first and what seems to be the last snow storm.
I love our view, so beautiful.

LIcense

Lyss is pretty excited to finally have her license.
Now we just need to work on getting a car.

Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving this year we went to my dads. The food was delicious and black Friday shopping was tons of fun.
(I totally forgot to take any pics)

Halloween

On Halloween this year Lyss and her friends decided to go trick or treating. I warned her she might not get much since they are too old, but they came home with quite a bit of candy.

Since Erin was Ahsoka twice already she decided to wear my Princess Leia costume.

We had Vadar waiting to greet our trick or treaters, but we only had three cuties show up. Thanks Scot and Diana for bringing the kids over.

Jay

Today was my cousin Jay's funeral. Jay B was a great example to me growing up. I have many memories of our cousin adventures and I feel blessed to have had him in my life. His family is in our thoughts and prayers.
Jay, We will miss you!

Friday Fun

Friday we decided to have a cookout with hot dogs and marshmallows.

Its kinda fun to be able to do this in our backyard. The only thing that would make it better is if we had a finished yard. Next year hopefully!

It has been nice spending time with my family.

Kira and Erin found this pumpkin at the store.

Lagoon

Yesterday we took the girls to Lagoon. Kira and Carrie came and joined in the fun.
This pic is a little blurry but its the only one I have of Carrie and Lys.

Erin and Kira were willing to try every ride we suggested plus a few more.

We had mixed reviews on the Spider ride.

The Tidal wave is my least favorite so Rich was sure to catch a pic of me on it. I went on it for Erin and Kira since they were so brave.
Rich, Lys, Carrie and I all went on Wicked together and loved it.

So glad we went it was tons of fun and now we can start thinking about taking the girls to Disneyland again.
