Saturday Rich and I and the kids went to the Ogden airport to watch Rob take a ride in this B-17. Rich and Rob were like kids in a candy store.
While we were there they were offering plane rides to kids ages 8-17. It is part of their Young Eagles Program. Allyssa decided she wanted to take a ride. So we signed her up. Here she before taking off.
Here is her plane headed toward the runway. She was up in the air for about 30 minutes.
This is the plane and the pilot. He built the plane himself. When she came back she had the biggest smile on her face. She said it was pretty amazing. We are very proud of her for trying something new. What a fun day!
You all knew I was going to see it and of course I loved it! Go see it if you love Star Trek, Go see it if you don't! You will become a fan. (I know, I know, I am a nerd.)
Today Erin went on a field trip to a dairy farm with her third grade class. She was able to pet this calf that was born this morning. She will talk about this one for awhile. Don't you love the hat!
Well what started out as a hair coloring turned out to be a celebration of having all my long, dry hair cut off. It felt so nice to have it gone. You can't tell by the picture, but there are some fun red highlights in there. Thanks Linsay for my new summer cut I love it!
Today is our 16th wedding anniversary! Is that crazy or what? I can't believe it has been 16 years. I am blessed to have a husband who loves me and still asks me what he can do to make me happy. Thanks for being a loving husband and father. I love you!
