Zeke

While the girls were away at girls camp I had this really dumb idea.
IDEA: How fun would it be for them to come home and find a new puppy.
What was I thinking?
But how can you look into those eyes and not want to take him home.

Maci spent three days with me and helped me pick out this little trouble maker. She was an excellent puppy sitter and had plenty of ideas what we should name him.

However the task was given to Rich and after many names, he finally chose one,
ZEKE!

Zeke is stinking cute and a lot of work, but I think we are getting the hang of it.
Even Ella is coming around.

More birthday fun

Each year we ask Erin what she wants to do for her birthday. We always go to Papa and Mums and then play. This year she chose swimming. So we took her and Kira to the Kamas pool. They had a great time and did not want to leave.

Afterwards we met Papa, Mums and Lys for dinner and a movie. Mums had cake and ice cream ready for Erin and lots of presents. It's always fun and relaxing to go to Papa's house.

Thank you Papa and Mums for making the weekend fun.
We love you!

Brigham Temple

Andrea and I took the kids to see the sculpture of Moroni put on top of the Brigham City Temple. It was raining, but not so bad because it was so warm. It has been so much fun seeing all the progress. We can't wait until it is finished.
It will be beautiful.

Friend birthday party

For Erin's 12th birthday she had a friend swimming party.

She had cupcakes, ice cream and presents first.

Then we went swimming. Apey and Maci came with too and were so much help.
I thought I was taking a pic of the girls but I was filming them instead. Which is funny because right at this moment the lifeguards were fishing out a hot dog someone threw up. You can't hear them, but they were pretty grossed out. Besides the hot dog,
I think she enjoyed her first friend birthday party!

Moonlight Madness Bike ride

Friday was the annual Moonlight Madness Bike ride at Antelope Island. Lys decided to go last min with mums and I. She did a great job. Do you like her bunny ears.

These were taken at the half way point. The ride is a total of 22 miles. We could not have asked for a better night. The moon was out and the weather was perfect. It was the best ride yet!

Brithday cake

Andrea and Erin share birthdays close to each other so we celebrated them together with a little cake and melted ice cream. Since they both love Star Wars and were anxiously awaiting Harry Potter to come out Lys made them a cake with both movies. It was very cute and creative. I think she will be our designated cake maker from now on.

Happy Birthday Andrea and Erin!

4th of July

The city celebrated the 4th of July on the 2nd of July this year so we were able to have a little fun on the 4th instead of working.

Dave and Andrea went to see Seth in the hospital so we were lucky enough to have the girls and Ty come over and play. We went to the park and cooked hamburgers and hot dogs then roasted marshmallows.

The Calls were with us and brought fireworks for the kids.

Kenz, Lyss, Cass and Mckenna were being very creative with their sparklers.

It was a very fun and relaxing way to spend the 4th!

Personal progress

Lys has been working hard to finish her personal progress program and finally Sunday she received her Young Womenhood Recognition. We are proud she worked so hard and finished the program. Congrats Lys!

Harry Potter Midnight!

We all made shirts with some of our favorite parts of Harry Potter.
Can you see Apey turned around showing her lightning bolt.

Lyss also made a shirt but was further back in line waiting with Eliza so she was not alone.

The movie was great and we had a lot of laughs.
Thanks everyone for going! So sad its all over.

12 years old

Look who turned 12.
Wow this was a hard one for us. We love celebrating her birthday, but it is getting harder the older she gets. Sunday was her last day in Primary, yesterday the young women came and took her to her first activity and next week she is off to girls camp. Where has the time gone?

Erin's statistics

Loves Star Wars
Likes being outside
Loves her cousins
Likes to swim
Enjoys reading
Loves animals
Loves a good movie
And is so excited to see Harry Potter tomorrow!

Happy, Happy !2th
We love you!
