She's 16!

Happy Sweet Sixteen Allyssa!

We can't believe she is already sixteen. Where has the time gone? Lyssa has become an incredibly, amazing young women and we are so proud of her.

I have to say Lyss is always concerned for others. When I took her shopping for a new birthday outfit she would not pick anything because she was worried it was too much. How many teenagers think about that? I know I didn't when I was her age. So sweet!

Outside of the house

Well the house is done and as most of you know we are moved in. I have not posted any finished pictures so I am going to post one a few at a time. Today it is the outside of our house. I love it and I am looking forward to starting a yard. We are going to have a circular driveway and hopefully a few trees to block the sun in the afternoon.
Summer will be a very busy time!

Soon to be 16!

This soon to be 16 yr old had a friend birthday party this weekend.

Food, games and giggles kept our house loud. Lyssa has great friends! Becca from Preston came all the way down for a visit and everyone of these cute girls gave her the cutest presents. They ended the night by going to a stake dance to dance with the boys of course. What am I going to do when the dating starts in ummm...

Erin's new hair cut

This is the last pic of Erin with her hair long.

Her hair was just barely long enough to donate.

I must confess this is a day her and I have been waiting for. We both like her hair short, no more tangles and ponytails. Thanks Linsay it looks great.

Tiling and siding

Well we have been tiling our guts out. Here is a pic of Mums, Apey, Rich and I working on the kitchen. Papa was a big help with the saw and Lyssa has become our master grouter.

This was a pic of the kitchen before the paint and door were put in.

Here is the back all done with siding finally. I would show you a pic of the front except they are not done. The guy doing the siding is really nice but really takes his time. I think he has been here for three weeks. However there are three of them today so maybe we will have results soon.

House/Bday

Well it finally looks like a home. Windows are in and the framing is done inside. I am onto picking out cabinets. This is where the fun begins!

For those who are wondering upstairs has two bedroom, three bathrooms (one is a half bath), office, kitchen, mudroom and great room. We are finishing most of the basement, it has a bedroom, laundry/workout room, office for Rich, bathroom and family room. We gave the girls two rooms as one so they can have lots of space. Unfortunately I think their bedrooms are now bigger than ours. That means less cleaning for me! Oh and lets not forget Rich's 4 car garage, its as big as the house.

Last week was my birthday so we spent the weekend up at my dads. I was a little sick so we just stayed put and played games all weekend long. Because it was my birthday Rich even played a few games with us. I have to enjoy it while it last he wont do it for another year. Anyway we had yummy cake and lots of laughs. Thanks to Rich and the girls and to Papa and Mums. It was the best way to celebrate turning 28. Ha Ha

Christmas Fun

The girls each received some nice gifts from their friends. Erin's friend gave her these cute rudolph ears.

Lyssa's friend gave her this cute headband and she made a purse out of duct tape.
